Description:
Students of Class V-C celebrated a week-long morning assembly from 20th April to 25th April to mark two important days that fall close together — Earth Day on 22nd April and World Book Day on 23rd April.
Through skits, dance, and poems, the students showed that Earth Day reminds us we have only one home. Our planet gives us air, water, food, and beauty, but climate change, pollution, and deforestation are harming it. Small actions like planting trees, refusing plastic, saving water, and switching off lights when not in use can make a big difference.
The students also highlighted the importance of World Book Day. It celebrates the joy of reading. Books take us to new worlds, teach us empathy, and spark ideas. They are friends that never leave us.
Together, caring for our Earth and enriching our minds through books will help us build a smarter, kinder future.
